In July 2022 I spent 10 days in Racoș, near Brașov, in an artist residency. Together with Vlaicu Golcea, who was mentoring Iulia and me regarding sound matters, we created this piece as a response to our experience there – the walks in nature around this beautiful geological site with an old sleeping volcano and a calm lake of the most beautiful green, our interactions with people and what feelings they connected us to. Iulia Enkelana and me each wrote a text starting from the words ‘as if’ and recorded the texts. We each made a video, for my part I had contributions from Maria Brudașcă and Irisz Kovacs. Vlaicu Golcea put them all together and gave it coherence through sound. The video was projected by the lake, on the rocky wall surrounding it, that also gave the space a very interesting echo.
