The questions I started from for this production are: can we imagine a collective future? If so, what do its multiple versions sound like? And I wanted to open the dialogue to others, not to brood on this theme alone. So we started with a storytelling workshop led by Ana Maria Ciobanu from DOR that opened up countless hypotheses about our future as individuals, as a group, as a society. We worked with the participants on many sticky-notes, which meant that at the end of the workshop we had a pile of fragmented ideas, feelings, and thoughts to work with for the text of the show – it’s an important detail from the working process that mirrors one of the ideas of the show: the future is born from our common intentions and actions.

We are in a time and place not too far away, a group of people are marching through the fog. At night, they stop to dream, on the promise that their dreams will create the future. At the end of their trip is the bridge that crosses from what is to what will come. So what lies beyond?
