Part music – part poetic observations of everyday life. Eight mid- and post-pandemic meditations on travel and cities and their emotional landscapes as I have experienced them, while thinking of friends scattered all over the world whom I always miss.

I set out to create this album with a subjective study of the condition of the contemporary woman at the age of 30+. I was interested in approaching the topic in many ways – the young artist, urban life, relocation to other cultures, friendships. The way that we do – our work – defines us and the vulnerabilities of this paradigm. The role of friendship in this context. Through this work I investigated the concept of an emotional landscape, connecting to the proposed themes through music and soundscape and exploring possibilities of constructing a dramaturgy of emotions.

you are here / ești aici brings images of urban life and encounters of different cultures, and looks at how human experiences change in the absence of familiar contexts, in meeting the other, the new, and to what extent we find commonalities between ourselves and different cultures. The emotions all this stirs in us and how they can be expressed in the form of audio postcards sent to friends, carefully considering how new experiences make us feel, and how small happenings and accidents we don’t usually notice speak to us in a subtle way about the sensitivity of the beholder.
